Victor Lundberg - My Buddy Carl
I posted this one a while back, but I'll repost it since the week is almost over with no single. Don't neglect the B-Side, with a twist ending that will MAKE YOUR BLOOD RUN COLD!!!

thanx a lot, I've just missed out the first time you posted it
it's sure a memorable period piece & probably the most bizarre hit single in the pop chart history, however dramatically *square* it is..- would be curious to follow developement of his meditation on his ALBUM, but I never saw it or even anybody who did (I'm on *that* side o'the ocean, though).
btw, maybe you also have Ballad of Green Berets by Sgt. Sadler??
I mean original Sadler single of course, not cd album which is sold just across the road as I found out today...
-- 1 thing I can't understand is why My Buddy Carl is credited to 'Robert R. Thompson'. did Lundgren perform other people's harangues-to-be when he ran out of fresh thoughts??
I don't have that one--great song, though. I love the idea of such a righ-wing song being a hit in the middle of the hippie era.
Can I purchase this on CD. I have looked and looked. My husband was in Viet Nam and it is special to him. I would love to find it for him in a format he could play.
