1. I got a job teaching ESL at night. I start next week. It's gonna be kinda fucked up trying to work full time at Oxy and then go to PCC to work from 7 to 10, but I'm looking forward to it.

2. Mandatory listening: download the podcast of Live From the Left Coast for Feb. 3rd. A great discussion between Ian Masters, Wayne White (Head of the State Department Iraq intelligence Team 2003-2005) and Robert Baer (short version: the guy Clooney plays in Sirriana), explaining what's going on in the Middle East, calling bullshit on "the surge is working," and basically illustrating why Everything You Know Is Wrong. Of course, I realize some people have more important issues to think about...
